McWilliams also voices Gamora in Marvel Studios' animated series "What If...?" and stars alongside veteran actor Samuel L. Jackson in the Apple original series "The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey."
The series is a six-episode drama based on Walter Mosley's novel of the same title. Jackson brings his years of experience to bear, playing the role of the 91-year-old Ptolemy Gray, who is almost losing his mind to dementia.
Gray has one last chance to restore his memories, but in doing so, he must confront his past while simultaneously attempting to uncover the mystery behind his nephew's death.
McWilliams stars as Jackson's wife, Sensia. The 40-year-old recently described the mini-series as one of the biggest projects of her life, acting alongside Jackson, who she said was initially difficult.
