Pressman was born in British Hong Kong to a British father and a Filipino mother from Isabela. The second name of Yassi is Isabela which is a reference to her mother’s home province.

Yassi was cast in the ABS-CBN drama series Gulong ng Palad back in 2006. She played the role of the young Luisa before transferring to GMA Network three years later. In 2009, Pressman became one of the female dancers of SOP. It was from these that she got the nickname Princess of the Dance Floor of Party Pilipinas.
Later, the SOP show was replaced by Party Pilipinas and Pressman was not left behind. she became a part of Sayaw Pilipinas together with Mark Herras, Sef Cadayona, Rocco Nacino, Steven Silva, Mayton Eugenio, Diva Montelaba, and Wynwyn Marquez.
Yassi later left the GMA Network and signed a contract with Viva Entertainment in 2013. One year later in 2014, she was cast as Lorraine “Lory” Keet in the film Diary ng Panget with her partner Andre Paras. In the film TalkBack, and You’re Dead, pressman played the role of Audrey Dela Cruz.
Yassi returned to the ABS-CBN channel in 2015. She signed a contract with the channel and went on to become a regular performer in ASAP. She also starred int he 2016 film TV adaptation of the late Fernando Poe Jr. film FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
In the movie, Pressman plays the role of Alyana Arevalo-Dalisay who is the love interest of Ricardo Dalisay a role played by her leading man Coco Martin. In all-episodes, the chemistry between Yassi and Martin was quite visible and hence it created an all-time high record of rating for all the episodes.
Yassi also joined the reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 before the latter, that same year. Pressman danced on ASAP with Maja Salvador in the full Circle in 2017. Pressman is a former VJ of MTV Pinoy and can be seen in shows like MTV Shoutout, MTV Halo Halo, MTV The OPM Show, MTV Senti, and Yandre’s Playlist.
